There had been a rumor the woman living at the end of Wilson Street was a witch. Margaret was her name. She rarely left her house or talked to anyone. She simply liked the quiet peacefulness of her own company. Local children would sometimes yell mean things from outside her house or leave a cruel note on her door. Deciding something must be done, Margaret went to the closet and pulled out her mother’s dress. Her mother once said the dress was magic because when you wear it, the world sees you differently. Margaret walked out the front door and down the street wearing the dress for all to see. There is a new rumor the children now believe. The lady living at the end of Wilson Street is a queen in hiding.
