Time just decided to stop. Babies never got older and old people never died. If you had a cold or a headache, you had it forever. The lucky ones were caught in the beauty of a first kiss or just being born. Everything in the universe was stuck at one exact moment. Then time started up again. Suddenly, everyone was in a rush to get somewhere. Babies grew up, people died, kisses faded and the world started to spin. I finally finished my drink and walk out of the bar. As I walk into the new night, I could hear a voice on the jukebox singing “Gee ain’t it funny how time slips away.”
